Sheets & Towels drive for the Kathleen Robison-Huntsman Apartments and the YWCA shelter
Mini Projects hosted a drive to collect sheets & towels for the apartments & shelter at the April General Membership meeting. A few JL members donated $500 worth of sheets and towels. Kathleen Robison-Huntsman apartments have the capacity to serve up to 36 low-income women and 124 children who are victims of domestic violence. Participants stay up to two years as they work to overcome their experiences with domestic violence, become economically self-sufficient, and obtain permanent housing. The YWCA 75-bed shelter continues to provide crisis intervention, advocacy for women and children, extended shelter, and a private room. The shelter serves 500 women and children each year.
