Junior League Fundraisers |
The Junior League's project work in the community depends on financial contributions from fundraising efforts. The Junior League of Salt Lake City raises funds through several channels, and this diversity ensures that no single area bears the majority of the fundraising burden.
- The League conducts several events throughout the year to raise funds. Proceeds from the Barnes & Noble night, Champagne Breakfast, and Macy's Day all support the League's projects.
- Junior League's nationwide are known for their cookbooks. The Junior League of Salt Lake City currently publishes 2 cookbooks: Always in Season and Heritage Cookbook.
A sample recipe from the cookbooks is available.
Cookbooks published by other Junior Leagues are also available
at the Junior League of Salt Lake City Headquarters.
- Our silk scarves, a "piece of wearable Utah art," are hand-painted, making each scarf unique. Both jewel-toned and earth-toned motifs capture the beauty of Utah's scenic wonders and rich history.
- Nature scenes with various photos from th Always in Season cookbook or depicting a mountain stream or Utah's Dead Horse Point make these notecards a beautiful message from our state.
- Corporate and other sponsors generously support our projects and the League as a whole.
- You can make a gift to the Junior League of Salt Lake City to support the League's efforts in the community via the annual Friends of the League campaign.
- AJLI Launches the Junior League Shopping Mall!
When an online shopper goes to the Junior League shopping mall and
purchases an item from one of hundreds of popular retailers, individual
Junior Leagues receive a commission. The
Junior League shopping mall works just like any online shopping vehicle
except that now it helps raise funds for your League. The Association
of Junior Leagues International Inc. (AJLI) and its partner Fundlink,
LLC, in conjunction with more than 1,300 major retailers, created an
online shopping mall. Here, shoppers can enter the online mall and
choose to shop from stores such as Target®, Macy’s®, Nordstrom® or
Barnes and Noble®. Before they enter a retail site, they are asked to
choose a League that will benefit from their shopping experience. Once
the League selection is made, shoppers are sent directly to the
retailer of their choice to start shopping. Each sale generates a
commission to benefit your League and AJLI. The only difference between
going directly to the retailer’s website and the Junior League shopping
mall is the starting point of the shopping experience. Shoppers begin
at the Junior League shopping mall and designate a League of their
choice to benefit from their shopping, then enter the retailer’s
website. Click on the link to give it a try: http://ajli.fundlinkllc.com/
